Release notes
Every version of Fernando, newest first. One app, one record — the iPhone, iPad and Mac versions ship together, so a note that applies to only one of them says so.
-
Fernando now fits iPhone Duo, and names the song on the air.
- iPhone Duo: open, your library and a game sit side by side, split at the fold. Open or closed, every screen keeps clear of the fold and the status bar down the side.
- On iPhone and iPad, the player names the song on the air under its cover — title, artist and station — for Grand Theft Auto IV.
- CarPlay follows your car's light or dark appearance, so its text is readable in a car set to light.
-
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City joins the dial, and Fernando now runs on iOS 18.
- Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City — thirteen stations from your own PlayStation 3 disc, with the radio from both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.
- The Grand Theft Auto IV & Episodes from Liberty City disc adds both games to your library at once.
- North American and European discs both work.
- Fernando now runs on iOS 18, so it works on more devices.
- Fixes a brief flash of the stopped state when tuning in to a station.
-
Grand Theft Auto IV joins the dial, and Fernando comes to iPad.
- Grand Theft Auto IV — all twenty-three stations of the PC Complete Edition, with the radio from The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, or nineteen from your own PlayStation 3 disc.
- Its radio follows the weather and the time of day in a city you choose: New York, unless you pick another in Settings.
- Its songs are named as they air — in the player, on the Lock Screen and in CarPlay.
- iPad: your library and a game side by side, in any orientation, with keyboard shortcuts for importing and tuning.
- On the Mac, right-click Fernando in the Dock to play, pause, change stations, or jump to the one on the air.
-
Two more cities on the dial, and your console discs now work too.
- Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories — nineteen more stations, read straight off your own disc.
- PlayStation 2 discs are now supported for every title, alongside the PC versions.
- Fernando now runs natively on the Mac — the same app, with games dragged straight in from a PC install folder or a disc image.
-
- This update fixes an issue that prevented Fernando from appearing in CarPlay.
